If you are also planning to install a screen guard on your phone, it’s important to know which glass is currently the best in the market. Talking to Local18, Sahil, a wholesaler from Gaffar Market in Delhi’s Karol Bagh, said oil screen guards are currently in trend and are the best among all the types of tempered glass available in the market. “Earlier, ordinary types of screen guards were common, but they would get damaged and scratched after just a few months. An oil screen guard is an oil-based screen protector and it does not scratch,” he added. He further said that most of the screen guards available now are oil-based, with wholesale price ranging from Rs 40 to Rs 100. The retail price starts at Rs 100. The Myth of Re 1 Screen GuardSocial media has been agog with rumours of a Re 1 tempered glass. Several people believe there is a kind of tempered glass available for just Re 1. Asked about this, Sahil from Gaffar Market warned that such claims are often made on social media to dupe people. Even if a screen guard were to be manufactured for just Re 1, it would still cost Rs 10 to Rs 15 by the time it reaches a retailer, he said. “When the screen protector reaches us, it costs around Rs 40 to Rs 50. Even a normal quality product would cost atleast a Rs 30 per piece.” If someone claims to be selling screen protector for just Re 1, they are likely selling very old stock or substandard material, he cautioned.News tech Oil-Based Screen Protectors Best for Smartphones, Don’t Fall For The Re 1 Claims, Warn Retailors
