U.S. military personnel have begun moving aid to Gaza using a makeshift pier afloat off the Palestinian territory’s coastline. U.S. Central Command said aid trucks started moving into the Palestinian enclave early Friday using a temporary pier, adding that no U.S. troops went ashore to Gaza. It said the effort to deliver supplies through a maritime corridor “will involve aid commodities donated by a number of countries and humanitarian organizations.”
