A multidisciplinary team has been given a two-year $2 million grant to help Nasa prepare to study the Moon’s surface. The LASSIE (Legged Autonomous Surface Science in Analog Environments) Project is formed by professionals from Nasa, the University of Southern California, Texas A&M University, Georgia Institute of Technology, Oregon State University, Temple University, and the University of Pennsylvania.
