Beaumont area Veterans are now eligible for free weekday transportation to and from the Michael E. DeBakey VA Medical Center in Houston for medical appointments.  The VA’s new shuttle service, which began April 22, 2024, leaves the Beaumont VA Outpatient Clinic (3420 Plaza Circle in Beaumont) every Monday through Friday at 7:30 a.m. and brings Veterans to the Houston VA Medical Center for scheduled medical appointments.  The shuttle departs Houston VA at 2:30 p.m. daily for the return trip to the Beaumont Clinic.  With the new shuttle service, Veterans with an appointment at the Houston VA can reserve a ride on the 35-passenger, wheelchair-accessible shuttle by calling the Beaumont Outpatient Clinic.  Each Veteran traveling on the shuttle is also eligible to reserve a space for one caregiver or their spouse, as well.  Veterans can reserve their spot on the shuttle by calling .
