It is compared with the net headcount decline reported by its peers TCS, Infosys, Wipro and Tech Mahindra.HCL’s total number of employees stood at 2,27,481 as on March 31, 2024, according to a BSE filing on April 26.The company also added 3,096 freshers during the March 2024 quarter.Its attrition rate has also fallen on both year-on-year and quarterly basis to 12.4 per cent. The attrition rate stood at 12.8 per cent in the December 2023 quarter and 19.5 per cent in the March 2023 quarter.Meanwhile, TCS reported a decline in headcount by 13,249 during FY24, Infosys’ headcount fell 25,994, while Wipro added 24,516 fewer employees in FY24.
