Last Updated: August 21, 2024, 13:18 ISTPixel Watch 3 is also not repairable and Google will only replace it.Google’s Pixel Watch cannot be repaired if it has technical issue or gets damaged. So how does one manage these problems?Google Pixel Watch 3 is not environment friendly as you cannot reportedly get it fixed for any issues. Google’s Pixel watch series has bucked the trend of gadgets being easy to repair, in fact, the company only offers a replacement policy without any sign of parts and tools to fix any issues. All this means the Pixel Watches end up in the landfill which is the last thing you need at a time when e-waste has become a monumental issue. And latest reports say Google will not repair the Pixel Watch 3 either. You can get it replaced if the Watch 3 (both 41mm or 45mm models) has some issues or minor breakages that need to be fixed. Google has shared these details with Android Authority in a report, where it mentions that if your device is damaged, you can contact the Google Pixel Watch customer support team and get your Pixel watch model replaced. “Correct! Pixel Watch 3 is replacement only,” the company was quoted saying. Google has an extended program for the Pixel Watch in the US which helps them cover accidental damages and any out-of-warranty issues. The Watch 3 owners will be asked to pay $49 (Rs 380 approx) as the service fee which will get you the unit replaced with a new and shiny one. However, the bigger picture of this program and the lack of repairs available for the Pixel Watch brings the e-waste problem back to the forefront. So, if your Pixel Watch conks off after a few years and you want to get it fixed, Google will simply help you with a replacement but we are not sure how long this program will be applicable for and how many replacements will the consumer get. The Pixel Watch 3 was launched in India this year where you get the 41mm Wi-Fi only model for Rs 39,999 while the 45mm variant costs Rs 43,999. We are hoping that Google has a similar program for Pixel Watch 3 buyers in the country and help them with a convenient way to handle any damages or technical issues in and out of warranty.S AadeetyaS Aadeetya, Special Correspondent at News18 Tech, accidentally got into journalism 10 years ago, and since then, has been part of established media ho…Read More
