FALCON HEIGHTS, Minn. (WCCO) – Would you be brave enough to wear a beard of bees?It was all the buzz at the Minnesota State Fair on Wednesday.The University of Minnesota’s Bee Lab placed 10,000 honey bees on volunteers for the lab’s beard demonstration.It is an annual tradition celebrating its 25th year.To form the beard, a small cage holding the queen is placed around a volunteer’s neck and other bees follow.One volunteer said it felt a little prickly but believe it or not, none of the volunteers got stung.Copyright 2024 WCCO via CNN Newsource.
